My Mission:

I design functional cabinet spaces that are as unique as your family. You live here. Your investment should not look like everyone else's. Whether you're a contractor, a homeowner, or a builder, when you hire me, I stay until the paint dries — not when the check clears. I do not decorate.

My Vision:

The person who calls me in five years is a builder or a General Contractor who already knows I will not vanish, and a homeowner who found me because they know the room will work for them. Not a bigger studio. Not a warehouse. A name that means the boxes fit and the garbage can found a place to hide.

My Values

  • Purpose first means planning the room so it works the way you will use it. I will help you maximize your budget so the pieces that belong get built in at the start — not wished for after the cabinets are already installed.

  • I have driven hours and taken the calls after the paycheck stopped because the contractor still had to install the design and the client still had to live in it. I did that because it was the right thing to do. You know where I am on the job.

  • If the room feels “off,” it is sometimes when warm undertones are placed next to cool ones. The warm piece looks dirty. I will show you when a selection feels off, and talk you through the pros and the cons. That is my job.

  • We design as a team. We start with your inspiration photo and your dream space and mix it together with my design experience to create a one-of-a kind, functional space.

  • Designing a space comes with a lot of decisions. I bring more than 10 years of experience, and a selection order that works. Don’t let the paint color for the walls keep you up at night. You’ve been dreaming about this space for a long time. I will bring my sense of humor. Let’s have some fun.

About me

My Bio

The first half of my career was in a global office, managing the employee experience. That job taught me how to listen, how to work with more than one kind of person, and how to take feedback and turn it into something that actually works.

When my department was eliminated, I did not wait to retire to do the work I had always wanted. I went back to college, earned a degree in Interior Design with honors, and started over.

I chose kitchens and baths because everyone uses them. I learned by starting in a big-box store so I could get the software training I needed to put visions into 3-D. A year later I moved to a Rochester design studio to work next to people who knew how to design beautiful spaces, collaborate and how to build. After that I spent time in a custom shop — reveals, custom construction, the details that make a box look expensive or cheap. The clients were often engineers. They asked hard questions. I liked that. Custom does not mean you have an unlimited budget. It means the room is built for how you use it.

Ten years in, it was time to open my own business. The goal was never the sale. It is the client sitting in a beautiful room that works.

I measure. I plan where the stuff lives. I stay until the paint dries — not until the check clears. I do not decorate.
